The humble chai latté gets an added omph with the addition of coffee. The spicy tea mixture of clove, fennel and liquorice root is rounded off with the nuttiness of espresso and oat milk. Meet your new afternoon pick-me-up.
What you’ll need:
- 1-2 teaspoons of chai tea leaves (we love Byron Chai)
- 200ml milk of your choice (look no further than Minor Figures Oat M*lk)
- 60ml espresso - we recommend x2 Grey Plains pods
- 1 pinch of cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon of honey
Method:
1. Add 1-2 teaspoons of chai tea to milk jug
2. Froth/heat milk to desired temperature with milk wand
3. Infuse for 2-5 minutes
4. Strain into cup
5. Stir in honey & espresso
6. Add a sprinkle of cinnamon to garnish
Pro tip:
1. Remove the metal spring from your Nespresso frother
2. Pour in your milk and chai
3. Turn it on and let the magic happen
4. From here, all you need to do is pour your milk through a filter and you'll all done
